wild ideas worth living

I have always been fascinated by people who take the road less traveled, and turned thier wildest ideas into a reality. That’s why I created Wild Ideas Worth Living in 2016. The show features high-impact storytelling that empowers others to live their passions, and get outside. Fully supported by REI Co-Op, the show features adventure leaders and outliers from authors Cheryl Strayed and Jen Sincero to Rock Climber Alex Honnold, Surfer Bethany Hamilton, Fitness Guru Gabby Reece, Chef Samin Nosrat, Runner Scott Jurek, Biomedical Science and Nutrition Expert Rhonda Patrick, Photographer Jimmy Chin and more. Centered around adventure, in 2019 the third season of the show show goes beyond tackling subjects like mindfulness, minimalism, getting over fear, hacking your health and more.

shelby’s new show

How do we inject more health, humor and fun into our daily lives, even when things get messy? That’s the question driving award-winning journalist and podcaster Shelby Stanger as she interviews health, science and wellness experts as well as entrepreneurs, authors, artists and comedians on advice for how we can all attain more health and joy. From breath work and diet to physical outdoor challenges, brain training, and injecting more humor into our everyday lives, Shelby tests out her guest’s prescriptions, taking listeners on an all out joyride. Sprinkled with occasional PG-13 jokes about life itself, each show offers how a little Vitamin Joy is the medicine we all need every day.

Lufthansa’s Life Changing Places Podcast

Shelby knows firsthand travel can change us. This is why Lufthansa contacted her to host their first ever podcast, established in 2019, all about people who have been so impacted by traveling to a new place, they’ve changed their lives because of it. Guests include German professional soccer player Benjamin Adrion was who started Viva Con Agua after traveling to Cuba, world Class chef and restauranteur Thomasina Miers opened a chain of over 25 award-winning restaurants in the UK and became a food columnist for the Guardian after traveling to Mexico, and Photographer Chris Burkard who was so impacted by his travels to cold water surf spots in Norway he became known for his photos of arctic climates. Each story makes you want to get on a plane and go abroad.
